RF microneedling and skin tightening in Winter Park
Insulated needles deliver radiofrequency heat below the surface of the skin, where collagen is made. It works on texture, pore size and mild laxity, it takes three sessions and six months, and it is the slowest decision anybody makes here.
What it actually addresses
Skin quality rather than face shape. Enlarged pores across the cheeks and nose, rough or uneven texture, acne scarring, crepey skin under the eyes and along the neck, and early laxity: the kind you can feel when you press your cheek and it takes a beat too long to come back.
It is the only thing on this menu that changes the skin itself rather than what is underneath it, which is why it pairs well with everything else and replaces none of it.
What it will not do
It is not a facelift and it will not lift a jawline that has genuinely descended. Every device in this category is marketed as though it will, and that oversell is the main reason people finish three sessions feeling cheated. If your concern is a jowl, Camille will tell you in the consultation that this is the wrong purchase and what the right one is, even when the right one is a surgeon she does not get paid to recommend.
How it works
A cartridge of very fine needles enters the skin to a set depth and releases radiofrequency energy from the tips. The needle shafts are insulated, so the heat lands where it is aimed and the surface is largely spared. That controlled injury below the surface is what triggers the rebuild.
Depth is set by area: shallow across the nose and under the eyes, deeper through the cheeks and along the jaw. Camille runs three passes at different depths in most sessions rather than one deep pass, because stacking shallower work is more comfortable and heals faster.
What the week after is really like
- Numbing
- Forty five minutes of topical before anything starts. The appointment is ninety minutes in total and about thirty of that is the device.
- Hours 0 to 24
- Red and hot, like strong sunburn. Swelling around the eyes overnight is normal and looks worse in the morning than it does by lunchtime.
- Day 2 to 4
- Pink, tight and faintly rough, like fine sandpaper. Mineral makeup is fine from twenty four hours.
- Day 5 to 7
- Back to normal to anybody who is not you.
- Sessions
- Three, five weeks apart. One session is not a course and Camille will say so if you ask for a trial.
- When it shows
- Month three after the first session, still improving at month six. Collagen is slow and there is no version of this that is quick.
Price
$950 a single session, or $2,550 for the three session course, which saves $300.
The course is the honest recommendation, and it is also the highest ticket item at Northlight. Nobody is asked to decide on the day of the consultation. Most people take a week, and a few take a year, which is fine.

Texture and pore change is real and it is genuinely hard to photograph honestly at the distance the north window protocol uses. A fair pair needs a raking side light to show surface, and a raking light is exactly the trick this practice refuses to use on a face. Is this the same as a laser?
No. A laser delivers light energy that is absorbed by pigment or water in the skin, so your skin tone changes what is safe. RF delivers heat through needles regardless of colour, which makes it usable on skin tones where resurfacing lasers carry real risk.
They also feel completely different and heal differently. This is not a resurfacing treatment and you do not peel from it.
How bad is the downtime, really?
Two days of looking like you fell asleep in the sun and five days of your skin feeling like fine paper. It is the most downtime of anything here.
People book it for a Thursday and are comfortable in public by Saturday. Do not book it the week of an event.
Will one session do anything?
A little, and not enough to be worth $950 on its own. The results people want come from three sessions of stacked stimulation, and buying one to test it usually ends in disappointment that was predictable.
If you want to test whether you tolerate the sensation, standard microneedling at $375 is the cheaper way to find out.
Does it hurt?
It is the most uncomfortable treatment on this menu, and pretending otherwise would be silly. With forty five minutes of numbing it is tolerable: pressure, heat, and a snapping sensation along bone, particularly the forehead and the jaw.

What if I have a tan?
Come back when it has faded. Heat into recently sun exposed skin raises the risk of pigment changes, and in Florida this is a real scheduling problem rather than a formality.
Two weeks with no deliberate sun and no self tanner before each session, and daily sunscreen between them.
I asked three places what it would do to my jawline and this was the only one that told me it would not fix it. I did the three sessions for my cheeks and pores instead and I am glad I did not waste the money on the wrong thing.
