Structural filler is architecture rather than smoothing. It replaces support that has moved, which is why the honest answer to a softening jawline is very often the cheek above it and not the jawline at all.
A different question from lips
Lip filler is about one feature. This is about the shape of a face, and the buyer is usually ten years older and asking a vaguer question: something has changed and she cannot name it.
What changed is almost never skin. Fat pads in the midface sit lower than they did, the bone underneath has quietly resorbed, and the soft tissue that used to be held up over your cheekbone is now resting along your jaw. The jowl is not new tissue. It is old tissue in a new place.
Where it goes, and why
- Cheek
- The first answer for most people, and the least obvious one. Support placed high, on bone, lifts everything that hangs off it. One syringe a side is typical and two is a lot.
- Jawline
- Definition along the back half of the jaw and at the angle. It works, but it works far better once the cheek is holding its own weight, which is why the order matters.
- Chin
- Small volumes make a surprising difference to a profile, and it is the cheapest correction on this page in terms of how much syringe it takes.
- Under eye
- The hardest area on the face and the one Camille says no to most often. Read the next section before you book for it.
Under eye filler, and why it is usually declined
Camille turns down more under eye requests than she accepts. Not because it never works, but because most of what people want fixed there is not a hollow. It is thin skin showing the muscle underneath, or it is fluid that shifts overnight, or it is pigment. Filler improves none of those and can make all three look worse.
Filler in that area also lasts far longer than the brochures say, sometimes several years, and it holds water. A slightly puffy result is not a two week problem, it is a two year one, and dissolving it is fiddly because the layer is thin.
If your hollow is genuinely a hollow, it is a beautiful correction and Camille will do it with a cannula and a very small amount. If it is not, she will tell you what it actually is and what would actually help, which is sometimes nothing.
What to expect
- In the chair
- Thirty to forty five minutes including twenty minutes of numbing.
- Downtime
- Nothing that stops you working. Swelling for two to four days and a real chance of a bruise, especially along the jaw.
- When it looks right
- Two weeks. Structural filler integrates and softens more than lip filler does, and the day one version is not the result.
- How long it lasts
- Twelve to eighteen months in the cheek, often longer in the chin, and longer again under the eye.
- Reversible
- Yes. Hyaluronic acid, so it can be dissolved.
Price
$850 a syringe, quoted out loud before anything is opened. Most first plans are one or two syringes, so $850 to $1,700.
Camille will often suggest doing one syringe now and looking again in a month rather than doing two today. It costs the same in the end and it is much harder to overshoot.

Why are you suggesting cheeks when I asked about my jawline?
Because the tissue sitting along your jaw used to sit on your cheekbone, and putting support back where it left from lifts it. Treating the jawline first often means chasing the symptom and needing more product over time.
Camille will show you in the mirror with her hands before she suggests it, and if you still want the jaw treated she will do that instead.
Will it make my face look bigger?
Not at one or two syringes placed on bone. The look people are thinking of is the result of many syringes placed superficially over years, and it is a volume problem rather than a filler problem.

How long does it really last?
Twelve to eighteen months for cheek work is the honest range, and it does not vanish on a date. It fades, and most people notice they want it again rather than seeing it disappear.
Under eye and chin both last longer, sometimes considerably.
You said no to my under eyes. What do I do instead?
It depends what is actually going on. Pigment responds to IPL and peels. Thin, crepey skin responds to RF microneedling. Fluid responds to sleep, salt and time, and no injector can fix it.
If the answer is a hollow after all, Camille will treat it. She just wants to be right first.
I came in asking for my jaw done and left having had one syringe in each cheek. I did not understand it in the room and I completely understand it now looking at the photos.
